Family of French painters, the brothers Antoine (c. 1588–1648), Louis (c. 1593–1648), and Mathieu (c. 1607–1677). They were born in Laon, settled in Paris, and were among the original members of the French Academy in 1648.
Attribution of works among them is uncertain. They chiefly painted somber and dignified scenes of peasant life.
